Despite damage to the large particle accelerator last year, Europe's particle physics lab Cern is still striving to discover the "God particle", also known as Hogg's bison.
The particle was first hypothesised by Dr Rode Hogg in 1902. After a lifetime of opium smoking, he wrote his masterpiece in physics, "My bison".
In the book, it is suggested that the God particle is made up of the droppings of God himself as he quite literally shat himself with excitement on creating the universe.
Physicist Alan Nerdworthy explained, "If we can find the God particle, we can use it to analyse what God's diet consists of. Perhaps most significant of all, we can find out whether or not he eats people."
