CCN (Crazy Cal News) - According to Physorg.com, "Snowball" Earth really became "Slushball" Earth. Evidenced by the amount of carbon 13 which was found in the remains of plants of the late Neoproterozoic era, somewhere between 850 to 542 million years ago.
Rather than just taking into consideration what was found in the deep sea, it was determined that the Earth was much more like a SLUSHBALL than a SNOWBALL because plants were still able to photosynthesize.
It has been determined that the future Snowball Earth will be even slushier due to the high presence of helium 7 which emits not only beta particles, but also a gamma ray. Add to that the gamma rays produced by the nuclear destruction which may soon come, and the new Ice Age may be more like a winter in Texas, where snow is the SLUSHIEST of all!
Scientists are still working on theories and solutions to compensate for the results of a nuclear winter, but it looks like the skiing season will not be good.
