The trouble began when a scientific study was released suggesting that it's very educational for babies to have their parents talk to them a lot.
Too many parents have taken the advice to heart, constantly yakking away at their babies and giving them no peace and quiet at all. Yikes! Babies all over the globe are just wishing their parents would shut up. A Spoof reporter who understands baby talk has traveled the world, interviewing babies and toddlers about this topic. This is a report on her findings.
One baby confessed that the situation reminded her of that 1960 song You Talk Too Much, written by Joe Jones and Reginald Hall and recorded by Joe Jones. "You know how it goes," she said:
You talk about people
That you've never seen
You talk about people
You can make me scream
You just talk
Talk too much
Even babies in utero have joined in with complaints. Jessica Simpson's son-in-waiting has said, "Parents should know when to shut their faces." Kate Middleton's royal baby-in-waiting has been quoted as saying, "Just because my dad and mom are a future king and queen, it doesn't give them the right to yak at me to death." And Kimye's baby-to-be has the same opinion: "Let them yak their mouths off to the media and leave me alone."
A three-year-old said he agrees with Germain G. Glien, who once said, "The older I grow the more I listen to people who don't talk much."
Out of the mouths of babes............
