Space boffins from NASA and universities around the world are gathering in Manchester for a rare opportunity to study a cosmic phenomenon tonight.
It is believed that representatives from the astrophysics community will be descending on the mysterious so-called Etihad Stadium to study one of the most massive objects in the universe.
"Uh, yeah, that's about the long and short of it," said Dr Niederwald Denkmal of California's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
"Ever since we heard about this massive thing in Manchester, we've been itching to get over here and study it up close. Usually we have to rely on technical stuff like big telescopes in space and radio signals and all those other doohickies. It gets kinda complicated - with hard sums and stuff."
Manchester City vs Manchester United kicks off at 8pm and you can join in with the scientists' observations by tuning into Sky Sports One!
