Today The Spoof, an online magazine, refused to accept a Pulitzer Prize.
A spokeswoman for The Spoof said, "We have talked to the Pulitzer Prize committee and told them our magazine is written by thousands of writers, and each one should get a Pulitzer in recognition of their outstanding work."
The committee stated through it official staff personage," "We don't hand out thousands of Pulitzers. Get real."
The spokeswoman for The Spoof offered an alternative. "Perhaps you can cut up the Pulitzer into thousands of pieces."
The staff personage said, "No dice. Take it or leave it."
To which, the spokeswoman said to the staff personage, "Echo. No deal. No dice."
