Every year hundreds of corporations throughout the United States spend millions of dollars trying to capitalize on already existing products in the hopes that they will be as successful as the originals.

And every now and then some of these consumer product spin-offs make it and they are wholeheartedly accepted and embraced by the American buying public.

But sad to say, most of the times the new product spin-offs just turn into very expensive exercises in futility.

The spin-offs are found to fall short of customer expectations who for a myriad of reasons simply chose to turn their backs on them.

Here is a list of...

10 Product Spin-Offs That Failed:

  • Heinz 58 Ketchup
  • N&N's
  • Eight-Up
  • Sauerkraut-A-Roni
  • Crystal Light Beer
  • Onion-Flavored Yogurt
  • Aunt Jemima's Chicken Necks
  • Mother Effen Hot Sauce
  • I Can't Believe It's Not Jose Cuervo Tequila
  • Microwave Ice Cream
