Funny story written by MonkeyInTheBath

It's Christmas, and despite the economic crisis, Britons are pulling together and doing what they do best - sitting on their fat arses (the biggest in Europe) and watching TV.

So what programmes are the most popular during this festive period? We did a survey to find out.

The most watched TV show was "When Sharks Attack at Christmas", a graphic documentary about the dangers of swimming near sharks at this time of year. In second place was "Hitler's Bodyguard at Christmas", a historical documentary about how Christmas was celebrated during the Third Reich.

The rest of the list is as follows:

3. The Two Ronnies' Last Scrape of the Barrel Comedy Christmas Special.

4. A Special Krankies Christmas Television Special At Christmas, from 1972.

5. Top Of The Pops Christmas 1972 (repeat)

6. Morecambe and Wise's 'It's Good to be Alive' Christmas Special from 1972.

7. The Richard Dawkins Royal Christmas Lecture, a three hour lecture in which he disproves the existence of Santa Claus.

8. How to Flog Your Home at Christmas.

9. A Christmas Carol, where Carol Vorderman travels the UK distributing presents and solving maths problems.

10. The Only Way Is Essex Christmas Special.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
