The post-mortem of Amy Winehouse, the singer who died on Saturday after a lifelong struggle with alcohol and drug addiction, is to be held later today.
I wonder what the result will be.
It's possible that she, 27, may have died due to an overdose of drugs, or maybe she could have reacted badly to a mixture of drugs and alcohol. She wouldn't be the first.
We'll have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, Amy's dad, Mitch, has been giving interviews. He thanked fans for their tributes saying:
"I can't tell you what this means to us. It really is making this a lot easier."
What does he mean by this?
How can the death of your daughter be made easier by the albeit heartfelt sentiments of fans she had almost certainly never met, much less cared about?
It seems a bit strange to me. Maybe he did it.
Visiting his daughter's home, he added the loss left him:
"speechless".
Again, this is a little odd. Had he been left speechless, as he claims, he would not have been able to say the word 'speechless'. Indeed, he wouldn't have been able to say anything, including that earlier thing about it being made "a lot easier".
Maybe he said those things because he was suffering from enormous stress, and he wasn't in control of his faculties. He certainly wasn't in control of his daughter whilst she was alive. She partook of dangerous substances and liquids in such large amounts, that it was enough to make anyone's father start talking gibberish.
