Song: "The Teaching Song (About Teaching)"

Some people like stuff. Some people need to stop dancing. Others want a song about teaching. I'm writing this because I can.

This goes out to all the depressed, sad, and overworked teachers out there. Educating the youth. Go teachers!

"The Teaching Song (About Teaching)"

I'm not in it for the money,
Or the holidays,
I still do it, but if only,

The strikes would let up,
And the guys in City Hall,
Would grow up,
My class are failing,
And they're high-tailing,
to a job on the docks,

This work really sucks,
I have a lotta imagination,
But no tools for a reconstruction,
Or a class instruction,
On how to save cash,
And being polite,
And making things right,

To get my pay-cheque,
I have to get past the bureaucrats,
Who sell me out,
While I sob in my doubts,
Life is twice good and pretty,

Once the school goes to ruin,
I'll send you a greeting card,
I'm still an optimist,
but it is hard,

All I want to be is free,
But that's a dream...?

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
