London UK: The Spoof Administrator Mark announced today the rules for a world class writing contest to determine the funniest spoof writer on the planet.

The contest begins on Boxing Day 2010 and ends on Boxing Day 2011. (For you Yanks, Boxing Day is a bank and public holiday occurring on 26 December. It is observed in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Ghana, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Kenya, etc.) All spoof writers exceeding 100,000 points by the contest end date will receive a first prize award. Single winner second and third prizes will be awarded to the two runner-up writers scoring below 100,000 points.

The prizes are as follows:

1. First prize is an all expense paid trip to Tonga, an archipelago in the South Pacific Ocean, to sky dive out of a perfectly restored WWI biplane at 2400 local time on December 31, 2011 to be the first to welcome the new year 2012, screaming with delight.

2. Second prize is seven days and six nights at the Pyongyang Hilton in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) being entertained by dear leaders Kim Jong Il, Kim Jong uN and Kim Jong Nam, while enjoying fine North Korean cuisine.

3. Third prize is a prepaid London Underground ticket (transfers included) allowing a visit to every station on all lines, a night visit to the Westminster area of Central London for greasy fish and chips, an impromptu speech at Hyde Park and to meet the local gentry.

Administrator's Note: Official letters have been received from US President Barack Obama, UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Afghani President Hamid Karsai and former US President George W Bush complaining that if they signed up now, it would be impossible for them to win. Furthermore, they state only Hydrogen Balloon, Bureau, Abel Rodriguez, Sidney Bollocks, queen mudder, Skoob1999, Colonel Juan and possibly P.M. Wortham are in contention at this moment.

The Spoof Administrator told these politicians that it is possible for a "dark horse" to emerge and they should "bugger off!" (Dark horse is a term used to describe a little-known person that emerges to prominence, particularly in American politics.)

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
