Bus Going the Wrong Way

It has not been good recently Penny thought. West Ham drawing all the time and still bottom of the Premier League, Terry missing goals in his games for Leyton Orient Juniors and Grandma in hospital after another stroke.

Penny went to see her and found there was little point. Grandma didn't know who she was and, after a while, Penny decided to call it a day.

The only amusing thing was the journey home when the bus driver lost the way. A passenger pointed this out to him and guided him back to the correct route.

'I'm new here' explained the driver. The Mum's on board all felt for him. 'Poor dear' said one 'he's not got a chance if they don't teach him the route properly. I wish I could take him under my wing.'

Her neighbour chuckled. 'Mother hen, are we?' she asked.

'No, but he needs a guiding hand. How about you, my dear?' She looked straight at me.

'I'm at school getting my own lessons. I can't find the time for a bus driver who doesn't know the way.'

'Typical. Young people today just don't care.'

Penny knew it was best to leave it but she couldn't stop herself.

'You stupid old faggot' she yelled 'who do you think you are lecturing young people about what they should do. Look what a mess your generation has left the world in.'

'My my. Hark at snooty! It's a good job for you that I'm getting out at the next stop, otherwise I'd deal with you in no uncertain terms.'

Penny realised it was her stop as well. So she stayed on the bus and walked back from the next stop. It doesn't just rain, it just pours.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
