Well I thought I had heard it all but I read today of a FEATHER being sold for NZ$8 000. OK, so it's from an extinct bird. Woopee! One puff of wind and it could be gone forever like its former owner.
Where do the 'buyers' come up with the idea that it is, in fact, worth $8 000? How can it be proven that it's not just a very large eagle feather?
Remember the Shroud of Turin Hoax? Well, anyone who believes in the Shroud, in my mind, is a little 'odd' anyway. Then there were the rare Mormon books, FORGED!

The cup he drank from? The basket baby Moses floated down the river in? The REAL ten commandments. King Arthur's sword? The key to the city of Camelot? The tails of the Three Blind Mice, or the actual pail that Jack and Jill used when climbing up the hill to fetch a pail of water?
It makes me think! Starving people all over the world, and $8 000 for A FEATHER.
Edit: I have just read about meteorite landing in Leicester in 1965 being sold for 8 000 pounds sterling.
My goodness, I'd better start looking around for pretty feathers and big rocks...
