In comes: genteel talking, reasoning with children as young as 9 months.
Out go: groundings for a week, sitting on the 'naughty' step
and losing privileges of playing video games.
In comes: smiling when you are scolding children, rewards for children who don't smack you back or curse at you.
Out go: Teachers punishing students by telling them to run the track 3 times in the pouring rain.
Doing 500 push-ups for swearing at an adult.
In comes: Writing an apology whether you mean it or not, and promising to be 'good'.
What the hell is this crazy world coming too.
Soon, if thieves, rapists and murderers etc., send a letter of apology to their victims and victims families, the jails will be just about empty.
