Is the world not sick of the resurrection of old TV show being turned into movies? Apparently not, according to cult film director, Quentin Tarrantino. In 2008, after attending the premiere of chick flick Sex In The City: The Movie, he decided his next project was going to be Diff'rent Strokes: The Movie, and carry out the diff'cult task of getting all the original actors back together for "the reunion of all reunions".

"It wasn't easy" said Tarrantino "the chick who played Kimberley committed suicide about 15 years ago - so I've replaced her with Uma Thurman. Mr Drummond died of old age about two years ago - so I will play his part. Arnold, the cute little chipmunk cheeked punk, is now a security guard at Walmart and couldn't get the time off. Begrudgingly, I will play his part. The kid who played Willis has been in jail for about eight years now for armed robbery. I will also play his part. The Drummond housekeeper, Pearl, is suffering with Alzheimer's Disease so Urma Thurman will play her. As for Mr Drummond's wife, who joined the show further down the line, I could find no evidence that she ever even existed - so Urma Thurman will play her part."

So, you may ask -are there ANY original cast members in the new movie? Well, Janet Jackson, who played Willis's girlfriend for four years, WILL be in the new movie, along with several of her real life brothers from the Jackson Five, including Jermaine, Jerome and Jim Jimmity.

In true Tarrantino style, there will be a pinch of kookiness, a punch of violence and a dash of idiot-talk.

"There's this one scene I just know everyone is going to love!" exclaims Tarrantino excitedly. "Arnold says to Willis "What you talking about Willis?" and they spend the next half an hour talking about hamburgers and bibles. I won't say anything more than that, because I don't want to spoil it - but I think you get the gist!!"

Filming is due to start as early as next month and is hoped it will be released in time for Christmas. "Well it has a real family theme" said Tarrantino "so I think releasing it over the holidays is a fantastic idea."

Stephen King is writing the script.

With a cast and crew like that, we think it's going to be the mother of all movies!!
