What do Hillary Clinton and Mamie Eisenhower have in common?

To watch MSNBC Morning Joe program on the west coast, - 3 to 6 A.M. - one must be either a hopeless fan or true insomniac. Go figure. Joe Scarborough, who replaced Don Imus In The Morning, after his Rutgers women's basketball comments, is the Joe and moderator of Morning Joe. Switching on the final segment at 5:30 this morning was an eye opener. Real big, full awake, sit up in bed, eye opener. It was all about a guest who appears to be ageless and must have a Dorian Gray picture up in the attic. The guest was Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski.

Mr. Scarborough read Dr. Brzezinski's prediction five years ago about going to war in Iraq: If no WMD were found, Bush would lose his credibility, (happened) the U.S. would get bogged down in a war, (we're there) bring turmoil to that part of the world, (it's there) and the United States would lose its role as a world leader, (it has). Brzezinski doesn't work from a crystal ball, roll of dice, or paper, rock, scissors; he's got smarts. Besides a brimming portfolio and list of books written, Dr. Brzezinski was also National Security Advisor to President Carter, and is the father of Mika Brzezinski newscaster on the Morning Joe program.

On the subject of the presidential candidates, (remember it was 5:30 A.M. on the west coast) Dr. Brzezinski quoted Senator McCain saying the U.S. could remain in Iraq for a hundred years, always moving toward the future horizon that never materializes; and that both McCain and Hillary Clinton voted for the war in Iraq. Obama was and is the only candidate opposed to the war.

Asked by Tucker Carlson about Hillary Clinton's experience as first lady being superior to Barack Obama's, Mika's father replied: It is as if when John F. Kennedy ran for President in 1960, - remember, President Eisenhower could not run for a third term - and Mamie Eisenhower decided to run instead for President.

In a nut shell!
