Tessa Jowell Speaks out on 2012 Olympics Logo

This is an iconic brand that sums up what London 2012 is all about.

You see, it changes colour every few minutes. Just like
London Borough politics.

And it can be taken as a swasika, which is indicative of some of their policies.

And the flashing lights have already induced over 80 epileptic fits in just 2 days. So, it draws attentions to the countries medical needs - but that is not my portfolio.

Ok, so we spent £400,000. But when you are spending tax-payers and lottery money - hey, why worry? The designers told us it was forward-looking, cute, futuristic, different, expressive - I forget what else. I didn't really understand it. But - hey - for £400k it's gotta be good.

It flashes and changes colours, you know. Ok, so this won't come out when we do posters and programmes and T-shirts. But people will know what it is all about. I am sure that before 2012, everyone will be proudly wearing a baseball cap with this emblem on it - if not a suit with the badge on the blazer pocket.

Ok, so UK TV did a survey, and of 1,000 people interviewed, 1,000 didn't like it and no-one did. But perhaps the people with taste and a sense of adventure were busy at work, and couldn't vote.

I am paid a decent wage to take on these sort of jobs - designing a logo, so I take my job seriously. That is why I got design artists to do the job. And I have help from Sir Seb, who was himself an Olympic champion, so he knows all about logo design.

I am pretty annoyed to hear that The Sun is running a contest for 4-year olds to design a new logo; and the best one will be used by them instead of our magnificent, significant, design. But then, what do expect from a tabloid newspaper. They may be one of the biggest selling papers in the UK, but it is only read by Sec.Mod people, so their opinion doesn't matter.

Must go. Apparently, they have found radioactive material - whatever that might be - on the Olympics site, which could increase our estimate for the games a tad.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
