In a press conference this morning, US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales lashed out at Congress.
I would like to remind the Congress that all the people fired were appointees that serve at the pleasure of the President. They can be fired at any time for any or no reason whatsoever and Congress has no part in this process.Second, I would like to point out that if this "outcry" from the Congress is politically motivated then they should remember that a democrat attorney general fired 96 US attorneys so there is still no reason for this drama to be played out on the nightly news and in the papers.
Third, Hey, I just fired a whole gang of lawyers, why isn't some one offering to buy me a beer?
