John Barrowman? No, I prefered him in Tonight's the Night...

New details leaked from a Cardiff production studio have revealed that 'Torchwood' the popular Science Fiction programme, the spin of from Dr Who, with elements of Byker Grove should have had a different name and characters, but for a production assistant handing in the wrong paper work.

Mr Basil Littlehampton found the sheet in a Mills and Boon book he borrowed from Cardiff Central Library. He told us: 'There I was reading the book about the amorous Dr and the nurse who saw him for being a good man with a dark secret, when the sheet slipped out. All it said was:

'And that is our idea. It might be a bit too expensive, but at least Touchwood, it will be better than that idea we had about popular entertainer John Barrowman playing an immortal alien trying to protect the world from all types of trouble. I don't know what we thinking that night. We got so disheartened by what is being passed for entertainment these days, and I think we may have overdone the drinking'.

The BBC has denied the incident. The idea that was lost was passed onto Sky. They changed the central premise, star and budget and produced Danny Dyer's Dangerous Men, instead.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
