Potty-mouthed TV chef Gordon Ramsay is furious that new film Love's Kitchen, in which he has a cameo role, has gone straight to DVD in the USA.
The movie features Scot actor Dougray Scott as a chef who loses his touch after his wife is killed in a car accident. Ramsay, playing himself, turns up to put the chef back on track.
It has been described in some circles as "the worst film of the year" and consequently has been denied a cinema release in the States.
"It's a mistake as I'm a huge star over there," moans the self-assured chef.
But EIF News & Features film critic, Larry Gorman, says: "Get over yourself, Gordon.
"Love's Kitchen is a rotten egg - it stinks. Watching it was like taking an emetic. It's curdled milk, mouldy bread, oxidised wine - in fact everything crap in the kitchen.
"I just can't think of any more culinary metaphors for how crap this film is. Sorry."
