A 25-year-old American became the youngest winner of the BBC's popular cooking competition Masterchef yesterday.
Bar manager, Tim Anderson, gained notoriety through the 11-week competition with his experimental dishes. Presenter John Torode said his cooking was the "best culinary explosion" the programme had ever seen.
The contestants' final challenges included making lunch in the Australian rain forest and catering for a wedding in 35C heat.
Now Mr Anderson says he plans to build a food empire.
"You will kneel before me!" he said after winning. "My realm will span the globe! It will be a culinary empire such as the world has never seen.
"MacDonald's! KFC! Brasserie Gerard! Prepare to meet thy doom!
"All races will consume my culinary design and they will pay! They will break bread at my tables or they will feel the steel of my wrath.
"For I am Masterchef and none shall rival my realm!"
