Britain's favourite northern motor-cycling cooks, the Hairy Bikers, are being begged to keep their helmets on!
Si King and Dave Myers can currently be seen touring the country gathering recipes handed down through the generations in their BBC2 show, The Hairy Bikers: Mums Know Best.
They visit family homes and taste old family favourites and cook their own selections at an interesting location, before pitching up at a site in a field where the public can taste what has been previewed in the programme.
But a show insider says there is one problem with the food that is prepared: it tends to have hairs in it.
"Don't get me wrong," she said, "The boys are scrupulously clean - in fact we often can't find one or the other because he's in the shower.
"But when the crew comes to eat the recipes - we always find long hairs in it.
"We've come to recognise it by taste - Si's a bit of a lemon and henna man, while Dave is a bit more old-fashioned, going for a beer and egg concoction.
"So, lads, please - keep the helmets on when you're cooking!"
