A naked male pygmy from the Ituri Forest in the Congo has received over 10,000 marriage proposals from women and 200 from men all around the world after appearing on the cover of the National Geographic.

Although the magazine uses a black box over Jean Ishi 's naked privates, the black box goes all the way down to Ishi's ankles. However, most say that that is not the reason for their marriage proposals.

"Ishi interests me as a basic man", stated Oma Goodness. "According to the article he is looking for a mate and that he has much to offer. I see him as not affected by western ways and I would spend a simple-living, bed-ridden life with the young fellow."

"I'm interested in how the man thinks", stated Josephine Swallow. "He has not been corrupted by hearing what he is supposed to be and therefore would, to me, be unspoiled. Also, he Tarzan, me Jane."

"I'll be honest and say that what I like about the man is his black box or whatever is behind it", stated Seemore Hovem. "If same-sex marriage is approved in our state, I'll just come out and say I'd love to hook up with the gentleman."

Meanwhile, Alice Bowlegger, the photographer for the National Geographic who took the photograph, has disappeared into the Ituri Forest but sent out a note that says that she has not been kidnapped and to go away and leave them alone on their honeymoon.
