The announcement we all dreaded came today, that Jake and Taylor were to end their relationship.
Millions of people had delighted in the fact the two had started dating last year. After meeting their respective families and parading in public much of the Western world enjoyed street parties at the expense of governments in order to celebrate the union, however hopes of everlasting marital bliss have now been dashed.
In the US people have elected to take the day off work in mourning and in other parts of the world many have shed tears of sorrow, placing flowers in street next to posters of the couple.
Its even rumoured President Obama has called Jake and offered to take him out for a beer when he's ready and Taylor has been seen out with Riana drowning her sorrows.
Some people are still clinging to the hope that the Pope's offer to help with a reconciliation at his 'crib' will lead to happiness, however many are sceptical.
On another note Peter Andre is dating Elen Rivas, however many are already saying 'Elen who?'
