An advert containing Heston Blumenthal, Delia Smith and a large pork sausage has been banned! An ASA advertising representative said; 'We had 71 complaints from people saying there was an over the top sexual undercurrent to the advert.'
In the ad Heston whispers to Delia 'See that pork sausage there' (the camera cuts to Delia and we see her wide eyed in anticipation). Panning back to Heston he then says; 'That's prime pork that is, the best you'll get. Go on try some.'
The next shot shows Delia's face, her mouth is open, she's breathing hard as perspiration forms on her brow and her eyes are closed tight! Heston appears in shot over her shoulder and whispers 'I told you didn't I,' as Delia nods in appreciation.
We understand the follow up advert where Delia gets to taste some of Heston's pork dripping has now been cancelled.
