Following a pretty weird video of Katy Perry bulging out of a green dress thing on the Sesame Street, the producers were pretty keen to get some more child-friendly talent into the studios.
Unfortunately, as Justin Beiber was busy getting bottles thrown at him again (hooray!), British hit band Coldplay were the substitutes.
In a sensational duet with the Cookie Monster, the English rock band had performed a cover of Viva La Vida. However, in a recent move to avoid the whole Perrygate Saga, the segment has been removed from the edition.
"We think the Cookie Monster should be more blue. Also, what is with Chris Martin? His songs are brilliant, but he really needs a haircut. And what's with Life in Technicolor? We don't want a two part album!" claimed Producer Daniel Thomas.
In other news, the producers of Sesame Street have moved to quash reports that the Wardrobe Department has been the source of many disputes, as well as claims that the Producer isn't as fussy as he appears to be.
He may not be loved in Sesame Street, but he'll always be best loved for being a Muppet.
