A Hollywood insider today announced that despite widespread rumours, Justin Bieber, and 'Wizards Of Waverly Place' star Selena Gomez are most definitely not an item.
The lady insider told us that the two 'young uns' are just friends who have a deep respect for the other's professional abilities. It appears that Selena thinks Justin is a good singer, and he thinks she's a good actress.
They just like giving each other compliments, apparently.
The Bieber/Gomez relationship rumours, although widely circulated, have not yet reached the fever-pitch level that surrounded 'Twilight' co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, but insiders insist that there's time yet, and that the 'young uns' could become an internet gossip site sensation to rival Pattinson and Stewart.
Which remains an intrigueing prospect. Stories about Justin and Selena battling Daleks, escaping from vampires, being kidnapped by pirates in downtown Hollywood, banging their heads on cupboard doors, having lover's tiffs, getting married in Blackpool, appearing together at the Oscars and getting trapped down holes are sure to have a broad appeal with gossip hungry teens.
A voracious celeb hungry public can only wait and see how it pans out.
