MUTARE, Zimbabwe - Britain's Got Talent is a very popular reality show as is it's sister version across 'The Pond' America's Got Talent.

And there are at least 87 other countries throughout the world who have their own version of the "Got Talent" series. France, China, Laos, Cuba, and even Herzegovina each have their respective editions.

And the African country of Zimbabwe also had its version Zimbabwe's Got Talent. But sadly the show was cancelled after only the first week.

Fubasha Loombotta, who writes for the highly reputable Zimbabwean entertainment publication, Jungle Jive said that ZGT was cancelled even before the very first show ended.

He stated that the reason the producers gave was plain and simple; Zimbabwe just does not have any talent.

And Yangfoofi "Whoopi" Tatavaca-Schwartz, who is, or rather was, the shows executive producer said that a person being able to hit a monkey sandwich at 20 paces with a hunting spear is not talent.

She added that having a gazelle stand on a panther and stick out its tongue is not talent. She did say that if the act was a panther standing on a gazelle and sticking out its tongue then that may have been alright.

ZGT's executive producer asked, "And exactly just where is the talent in force feeding an adult rhino to a friggin anaconda snake?

[EDITOR'S NOTE: Anacondas live in the Amazon Rain Forest of South America, but there are about six in the entire continent of Africa, and four of them live in Zimbabwe.]

Tatavaca-Schwartz shook her head and remarked, "And the 97-year-old great grandmother who stood on a giraffe and peed into an eight-ounce cup held by a baby monkey on the stage floor, while unusual by normal civilized world standards, is just not really good enough to get her into the next round."

SIDENOTE: ZBS, the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Station will be replacing Zimbabwe's Got Talent with the reality show, Woman Please Go In The Hut and Put On A Damn Bra For Goodness Sakes!

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
