Rip Torn has been released from an alcoholic clinic according to ABC News today and pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from his arrest of being totally wasted and having a gun inside a Connecticut Bank.
Torn, often seen on TV shows like The Hollywood Squares, stated that his "lopyer" would plead for him so Attorney Timothy Landfill agreed to a further hearing on April 27th.
Torn was released from the alcohol rehabilitation clinic in New York City on Monday, Landfill said. He started the program last month after police said they responded to an alarm and found Rip Torn highly rippled inside the Litchfield bank in his hometown of Salisbury, Connecticut, with a loaded revolver.
Landfill pleaded that his client thought he was at home and wasn't responsible for his actions. Plus that he has been getting help. However, just as he stated that fact, Torn fell flat on his face.
