It's new, it's sassy, it's brash, it's loud and it's taking Europe by storm. With its origins deeply rooted in the rain forests and favelas of South America, Chulo-Chulo beats have burst onto the European club scene and look to be gaining in infectious momentum by the hour.
Leading Chulo-Chulo act Amamantar have been playing to packed houses in London, Paris, Berlin and Moscow.
Band leader Fuccario El Pato the charismatic band leader of Amamantar explained that Chulo-Chulo is all about the music, the beat, the flambuoyant costumes, the dance and sweat. Lots of Sweat.
Dancer Dolores El Cerdo explained to us that the fuqua-fuqua dance is rather like a mating ritual.
"Las senoritas make las mammarias go bouncy-bouncy-oopsy-daisy and the gennelmens swing the hot chorizo in a frenetico of lujuria caliente which is really catching on with Europe's hip young chulos,as they call themselves."
Music industry hotshots have been watching the inexorable rise to prominence of Chulo-Chulo with cheque books at the ready.
"Es cojones totalamente!" enthused Fuccario El Pato.
More Chulo-Chulo loco as we get it.
