Nicole Ritchie was more than embarrassed on the Letterman show last night as she discussed her relationship with the father of her two children.
She finally gave away the fact that she and Joel Madden are engaged to be married. Most people, however, thought that they were already married but that Joel was away at work a lot.
After admitting to Letterman that she and her two-time baby-daddy were not yet married, the Late Night leader asked if she was at least planning to walk down the aisle.
"Yes we are."
That gave Letterman the opportunity to begin a line of jokes including: "A lot of people will have a houseful of children and then, because they don't want to rush right into anything as serious as marriage-you know, they wait till the kids all get out of college, then they get married,"
But the blushing bride turned the tables on Letterman when he asked if Madden ever brought any friends home with him?
"Yes he does. He always brings 'Big Jim & The Twins'!"
Then it was a red-faced Letterman who laughed until he asked for a commercial break.
