Back from the grave or vault or whatever container he occupies, the year end totals show that the number one selling artist for 2009, was Michael Jackson.

"A dead guy beat me?" was the response from our most popular live performer, Taylor Swift. "That's pretty 'Bad'...but I can understand it."

Since his death midway through the year, Michael Jackson's albums have sold over six million recordings. That even tops most of his "live" years.

Taylor Swift did come in second with over four million sold, so she gets tops for the living artists.

Number three was a bit of surprise as the Beatles big release during the year brought in over 3.2 million. I guess they were tops for the "Half-Dead".

Number four was Susan Boyle (I Dreamed A Dream) with a close 3.1 million and number 5 was Lady Gaga with "The Fame".

Meanwhile Taylor Swift stated that she was ready to take on Dead Michael again this year and make it one/two again, but with her at Number One!

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
