A French newspaper is reporting that a friend of Roman Polanski says the director is finishing the edit of his latest movie about a guy sent to prison for an old offense, while he is under house arrest.
French philosopher Barnyard-Henri Pevi has also been quoted as telling weekly "L' Equipe" that Polanski is surrounded by family and bombarded by supportive telephone calls, especially his new boyfriend from the prison.
"He hangs up on the poor fellow and his heart must be broken."
"You mean I'M about broken, Pevi. You go kiss him for me."
Levi said in the interview published Monday that he visited Polanski in his chalet in the luxury resort of Gstaad about 10 days ago and found him like "a cock....I mean, how you say, a rock!"
He says the movie maker is working and is totally confident, even if his family is worried about the U.S. extradition request hanging over him.
"Believe me, that's not the worst thing you can have hanging over you, Pevi", Polanski reportedly stated.
