Due to the great financial and critical success of 2009's 2012, in 2010, director Roland Emmerich's dream movie is going to be released, with a spatula and a tinted pickle jar as the main characters.
"I wrote the screenplay when I was 9, and I've wanted to make it ever since. In my bones, I feel that the appointed time has come," said Emmerich recently on The Bonnie Hunt Show. The movie is allegedly to be around 3-4 hours long, and the story has to do with a plethora of household objects joining forces to defeat the toys in one suburban household.
"It's sort of like Toy Story meets Rambo," Emmerich explained later on the show. Drew Carey, Jennifer Aniston, and former president George Bush are among the people who will be cast as the voices of things like lip balm and a kleenex box.
Much speculation has arisen regarding the success of the movie. It is coming out October 5, 2010.
