image for Amy Winehouse: No, My Leg Won't Be Amputated!

Singer Amy Winehouse has displayed displeasure over a leading fan 'zine speculating that her left leg may have to be amputated after some photos were released earlier this summer which showed a lot of scaring to the leg.

Winehouse allegedly told the famous 'zine that she is tired of all the wrong misinformation going out daily.

She then pleaded with several reporters "Isn't my real life screwed up enough? You don't have to go inventing things."

"Actually my life is going better for me. Most of that trial stuff has been settled and I've finished my recording for the new Bond movie, "The Quantum of Solace".

"What a mouthful! I was told that if I were clean that the song was mine, so what do you think?"

She then explained the horrible-looking disfigurement on her left leg in the earlier photo.

"Not that it's anyone's business but it was just a stupid mistake. You see, I hate mosquitoes and they were all over the place that one afternoon and evening. Kept biting the crap out of me. So I went inside the hotel and found some stuff in a closet the hotel workers use."

"I glanced in and there was a can of OFF! for mosquitoes so I borrowed it, went and got me a margarita and went back to the beach. I then rubbed my mosquito spray on after I had sprayed it good...starting with my left leg. Boy was that a mistake."

Winehouse then stated that what she had sprayed was OFF Oven Cleaner and she had to run out into the salty water to get it off!

"So now you know. It's OK again, see? They won't have to amputate my leg. Don't believe all that crap! It's the head that's messed up anyway!"

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
