Are the Bee Gees getting back together? According to all the news reports in the headlines yesterday, they certainly are.
What they didn't report was that American Idol singer Adam Lambert may become the third member.
"With Adam wearing theis special extra tight jockey strap, he'll do fine", manager Henry Finestein illustrated and reportedly told a source in Adelaide, Australia. "The brothers have worn them for years."
The two surviving Brothers Gibb, Barry and Robin have reportedly stated that over the past year that they hoped to reunite, and now, with the popular Adam Lambert, it looks like they just might!
Finestein speaking for the Gibbs Brothers, reportedly told the Press Tuesday, "Barry & Robin have certainly talked for the past year about playing live again and with the new member it looks like a Go, although nothing is confirmed yet."
Both UP and API reported the discussion of live shows has been motivated by the celebration of the Bee Gees' 50th Anniversary, and to support the impending releases of The Ultimate Bee Gees in November and the box set Mythology in March 2010."
The third member of the group, brother Maurice Gibb, died suddenly in 2003 at the age of 53 from complications following an operation to correct a twisted intestine. The surviving brothers have not performed as the Bee Gees since, but it looks like they are ready to plan a tour in the near future.
"Of course, they will have to work it out with Lambert", stated Finestein. "But the special super-tight jockey is all ready to wear."
