Right after filmmaker Woody Allen reached a five million dollar settlement with American Apparel after suing the clothing manufacturer for unauthorized use of his likeness on a billboard, Simon Cowell has sued the Budweiser Beer Company for the unauthorized use of his picture on several billboards around the nation.
Cowell's attorney, Jesse Manning speaking for Cowell this morning, stated that Budweiser clearly knew that he was THE horse's ass before putting up all those billboard's with the Clydesdale horse's asses plainly in view.
"Mr. Cowell demands that all such advertising cease until an out of the court settlement is reached."
Responding to the charges, Linus Wilson, an attorney for the Budweiser company stated, "While the Budweiser Company is well aware of Simon Cowell being a horse's ass -for he is proving his argument by this lawsuit- the company will take the case to court if he insists."
"The Budweiser ads have been running for many many years now, long before Mr. Cowell came onto the scene and should be easily proven."
Then, after receiving a personal note from Mr. Cowell himself, the Budweiser company has decided to settle out of court. Apparently this has something to do with future commercials involving both Susan Boyle singing in a new commercial and a new Super Bowl ad featuring Simon Cowell himself, riding on a Clydesdale and a message that begins, "Take it from the Horse's Ass, Himself..."
Both parties then agreed that the subject is now closed.
