Melbourne (AAP) A major Australian newspapers published a shocking disclosure about one of its most popular journalists, Andrew Bolt. It appears that he buys over "one million hits a month". The substance used was not revealed.
'Andrew Bolt' is the nom de plum of the character, a name apparently chosen to suggest that he has a 'screw loose'. His true name and identity is unknown.
The 'Andrew Bolt' character is part of a popular column in the Herald Sun and on-line that satirises conservative politics by using a parody developed through a fictional character - a raving and obnoxious Tory journalist.
The editor-in-chief of 'The Sun' newspaper expressed regret and suggested that perhaps all the journalist's salary had been used to finance the 'more than one million hits a month' that he has confessed to.
This revelation may explain why many of the character's outbursts have been particularly violent and incoherent in the last few years.
