Rapper Fitycent told the US auto industry audience that it's hard out there for a pimp. The combined crowd of car salespersons chanted back in one voice: "You're tellin' Me!"
That is how the first ever cars for $.50 sale received its kick off. Sales were slow despite the screaming deals mostly because most of the potential customers were layed off auto workers.
It is reported that the US auto industry sought to persuade the federal government to provide them with multi-billion dollar bailouts because they were cutting costs by cutting jobs which basically cut the throats of American working families
