Rap star, 50 Cent, has told music journalists in New York that he has already met with ex-Dollar singer and I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here contestant, David Van Day, with a view to relaunching the drab 1970s pop group Dollar.
Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson the Turd, was only a toddler when Van Day and his then singing partner, the sexy Thereza Bazar, were taking the UK charts by storm with a string of hits such as Shooting Star, Who Were You With in the Moonlight?, and Mirror, Mirror (Mon Amor).
Now though, the rapper says he wants to get Dollar up-and-running again, and has already spoken to Van Day's agent, who has said that the faded UK singer will do almost anything to earn a crust.
50 Cent broke onto the music scene in 2003 with his album Get Killed, Or Die Tryin', and says that the public can expect more of the same during his collaboration with Van Day, who has already penned the controversial, yet pathetic, Biff, Baff, Boff whilst in the jungle.
Cent confessed to reporters:
"As 50 Cent, I'd consider it an honour to be one half of Dollar."
