Rhythmn and blues star, Chris Brown was scheduled to perform at the awards ceremony and was nominated for a Grammy this year. When the envelope was opened and his mnmae was read as one of the night's big winners, the overvoice announced:
"Accepting the Grammy for Chris Brown will be Parole Officer Watcha Ass. Chris could not be here because of court imposed reponsibilities that have him at home with a ball and chain."
