Bob the Builder, the children's cartoon character not to be confused with Joe the Plumber, is to sue President-Elect Barack Obama over use of his catchphrase "yes we can".
A spokesman for Bob the Builder said "Bob is well known for saying 'can we fix it? yes we can'. Now this is slightly longer than Obama's 'yes we can' catchphrase but it is still a clear breach of copyright."
Members of Obama's campaign team have denied that they copied Bob the Builder, but it is thought they are nervous about the lawsuit.
If Obama loses, he may not only have to pay damages to Bob the Builder, but may have to give him the presidency too. This would dramatically lead to the first fictional president in history - another great first for the American presidency.
