HOLLYWOOD (FMLiveWire) -- Miley Cyrus, the star of the Disney television series Hannah Montana, has admitted that posing nude for a Vanity Fair photoshoot was "one honestly dumb decision."
The 15-year-old actress and singer found herself embroiled in scandal earlier this year when the American magazine published a photograph of her nude beneath a satin sheet.
The controversial photograph was taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Cyrus was forced to apologise to her millions of fans saying that she was embarrassed by the picture.
Now the actress says she has learned from her mistake.
"It was one honestly dumb decision," she said in an interview.
"You know, there's a first time for everything. It was my first time working with a big photographer. I think I just kinda got put under pressure and that's OK, because I learned a lot from it."
She added, "And I just know now to trust my better judgment and my thought and my gut feeling. And so I just think, be a little more careful next time."
Cyrus then revealed that she has posed in a special swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated with Sarah Palin, with both celebrities wearing "revealing bikinis" and frolicking together in a swimming pool at a Hilton Hotel.
Paris Hilton can also be seen in the new photos lounging in a bikini and waving.
