John McCain responded with awesome shock this week when Democratic Presidential Candidate Barack Obama turned down his invitation to perform a "Me and My Shadow " song and dance at an upcoming Republican minstrel show.
McCain told America that like his town hall invitation (also refused by Obama), all he wants to do is to take the contentious partisanship out of politics: "Why does Obama keep avoiding my efforts at maverick campaign appearances. I don't see what he has to lose. Me in black face and Barry smeared with cold cream!? I bet Sarah and Joe Biden could do a Karaoke duet of " I Am Woman!"
A spokesperson for the Obama-Biden campaign told the spoof.lame that the unconventional and maverick idea of an intelligent debate on the issues was more up the democratic alley.
