New Yawk, NY-- One-time child star Curious George was charged with first-degree murder today by NYPD. Mr. George, 67, is charged with murdering his former keeper and housemate, the Man With The Yellow Hat, 96, in his SoHo penthouse.
Curious George is a monkey and is well-known in previous decades for his gentle manners and rabid curiosity. He made many books, movies and TV shows with his sidekick The Man With The Yellow Hat.
Mr. George's career abruptly ended when he went through adolescence and turned into an 800 pound gorilla. The cute ape turned into a monster with 10 inch canine teeth and a very nasty attitude. His intense curiosity led to experimentation with drugs of all types in his teenage years. He served a few drug convictions and was homeless and broke by the time he was twenty. The Man disowned him.
The next four decades were spent in alcoholism, drug addiction, and many years in prison. He told some jail pals he was "going to see The Man about some serious money owed" a few hours before the murder. Curious George killed The Man with his bare hands and nearly decapitated him. He took the Yellow Hat as a souvenir and was wearing it when arrested a short time later at a local bar.
