NEW YORK, New York - After waking up in a strange hotel room, Rocker and notorious "bad girl" Courtney Love phoned David Letterman asking if she'd actually made her appearance on his show, and if she'd done anything "stupid" on camera if she had.
Letterman reportedly answered simply, "Nothing Janet Jackson or Wendy O. Williams wouldn't have done."
Love, widow of late Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, who flashed her breasts no less than 6 times on Letterman's show last Wednesday night, was later charged with assault after throwing a microphone stand into the audience and striking a man during a performance at a New York nightclub.
The singer, already facing drug and other charges in California, seemed confused when questioned about the charges. "You know, like, I don't remember much of went on that night, you know? I was prettty wasted, and like, it must have been a great time, as much trouble as I'm in now."
Love was in New York to promote her debut solo album, "America's Sweetheart". Depending on the success of this album, plans are already in place for her second solo album, already labeled "America's Skanky Slut".
In a related story, Ben Packenwood was fired from his job with CBS studios after reportedly trying to sell bootleg uncensored copies of the Letterman appearance on eBay. Sales were reportedly slow, to which Packenwood commented, "I guess I was the only guy in the Country who hasn't seen Courtney's boobs before."
