Berlin, Germany - (Ass Mess): Sabotage or a portent of impending disaster at the box-office?
That is the question in movie-backers' minds following the latest calamity to hit Tom Cruise's family bio-pic Valkyrie which left eleven extras hospitalised after they fell off a truck that mysteriously burst open while turning a corner at 50 mph.
And now lawyers representing the hapless actors are preparing a lawsuit that threatens to slam Cruise and his finacial sponsors with a one billion dollar damages claim alleging wilful neglect leading to bodily injury.
The extras were all locals hired for minor Nazi soldier roles. Some of them, however, were reported earlier this week as being none too happy at donning the loathed SS uniforms of their forefathers for the film.
But many just said "Vot ze the Heil! Zee's only a Götterdämmerung movie bit-part paying a lousy thousand euros a day!"
