Los Angeles, California - Released after serving just 3 days of her 23-day sentence in the Century Regional Detention Facility for women, Paris Hilton was fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet, only to discover she maybe headed back to jail; pending a 9 a.m. hearing on Friday.
Coming under a barrage of political fire, Los Angeles Sheriff, Tommy Lee Barca, who authorized the release of Hilton in defiance of judge's orders, claimed he had done so because Hilton had developed medical condition untreatable by the prison infirmary or prison ward at the county hospital. A medical condition, which he refuses to disclose, citing privacy rights, now faces criticisms of economic and racial favoritism.
"We intend to prove to the Court that Paris Hilton is suffering from a very serious medical condition that warranted Sheriff Barca in releasing her to home confinement," said an attorney for Hilton. "But we will only disclose it in a closed hearing, or in camera, in the judge's chambers, of course."
The undisclosed medical condition: reportedly, a nervous breakdown and an incurable non-lethal rash to having her liberty arrested and confined behind bars and as a consequence of her direct action, unlike the liberties that have been usurped by de facto martial law from Americans under the Bush administration.
She is just not used to making the sacrifice that other less privileged Americans have always realized, but we were made to gotten use to in the war against terrorism at the hands of fearmongering politicians, namely the loss of our liberty for security, said someone, somewhere a long time ago that we failed to heed.
