In a surprise move today, shock jock Howard Stern and long term girlfriend and model Beth Ostrosky eloped to a Vermont bed and breakfast. The couple decided to elope to avoid the whole publicity event their wedding would have garnered.
The unique thing about the unorthodox ceremony was the addition of lawyer Dominic Barber at the proceedings, Barber was not only the witness but also the lawyer with the divorce papers.
Going for the fastest celebrity wedding and divorce, Howard and Beth decided to say their, I do's, turn around and sign their divorce papers immediately proceeding the wedding.
The previous record was set by Britney Spears for her 18 hr marriage in Las Vegas.
Insiders said the couple feels they are having their cake and eating It too. Beth gets her ring and Howard wins the divorce pool that was established at the office once the wedding was announced.
Stern also protects his vast fortune because technically the couple was only married for 26 seconds, the time between, I do, then turn to sign the divorce papers.
