DAVID Schwimmer has responded to claims a flasher in Blackpool looked like him, with a hilarious tweet after Blackpool police posted a CCTV still of the suspect on social media.
The American actor, famous for his part as Ross in the 90s TV series Friends, posted a video of himself pretending to flash his genitals to a group of old-aged pensioners in New York.
Mr. Schwimmer's chucklesome video comes as Blackpool police issued an appeal on Facebook to identify a flasher exposing his knob and balls to several nuns, which social media users claimed looked like "Ross from Friends".
In his Twitter post, Mr. Schwimmer wrote: “Officers, I swear it wasn't me. As you can see, I was in New York, showing off my smaller cock to these old folks."
As over 100,000,000,000 users bombarded Blackpool police Facebook account, officers were forced to issue a separate statement confirming the suspect was, in fact, not David Schwimmer
The statement read: "Thank you to everyone for your speedy responses.
"We have investigated this matter thoroughly, and have confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America on this date.
"We're so sorry it has to be this way."
The photo appeal, which almost 66,000,000 shares, was flooded with tongue-in-cheek Friends quotes and puns.
However, some members of the public claimed Blackpool police were not treating the case seriously enough.
One said: "He's a pervert and possibly a serial sex offender - it's serious. But these comments are hilarious."
Yes, they were. Yes, they were.
