In the latest Batman US TV series it seems that several transgender, gay, and lesbian issues have been upgraded to adapt to modern times (apart from down south where Rednecks tend to be straight and only have John Wayne and Clint Eastwood as their heroes. Brokeback Mountain was not shown in Texas, I wonder why?).
Batman is now a lesbian, and Robin is gay, so there is no way US TV could ever show intimate scenes of the two, in their belfry, having it off. In fact, the makers of the latest TV series have killed 'two bats with one stone', because having a transgender Batman coupled with a gay Robin has satisfied the heterosexual/redneck community, and Gay Rights groups would except the new 'Batman' having it off with a woman because they are fundamentally 'gay'!
US Kids watching the latest series don't give a damn who is behind the masks, as long as they kick the crap out of each other!
The Joker will remain what he is - a creepy hetero - and penguins are bisexual anyway! As for the mayor of Gotham City, whose name is Hoover the Groover, there is a slight dilemma deciding what he is, hetero or homo, so they decided to ask the FBI for advice!
